A few minutes from the Passo Corese station (in the province of Rieti), in the municipality of Fara in Sabina, along a pretty country road, we find this property. The property consists of three stone buildings to be restored, all overlooking the surrounding green valley. What steals the show in the distance is undoubtedly the profile of Mount Soratte, which rises higher on the horizon than the Sabine hills.
This splendid hill rises about 350 m above sea level and we are only about 50 minutes from Rome.
The main stone house is on three levels, in the basement there are cellar rooms, while the first and second floors are connected both internally and externally by a stone staircase. On the north wall there is a wood-burning oven, typical of these Sabine artefacts. A few steps away we find the second building, which was probably used as an oil mill or stable, still on two levels even if the internal floor has now collapsed. Finally, behind these two buildings we find the third building, also in stone and on two levels with an external stone staircase.
The total surface area of the buildings is approximately 623 sqm, and is accompanied by 1,200 sqm of surrounding courtyard.
Despite being a challenging renovation project, it is one of a kind given the exclusivity of the place in which it is located.
