Casale Benedetti a San Giorgio is situated on the top of one of the most panoramic hills of Sabina. It’s in the Municipality of Tarano, in the Province of Rieti. The building structure is the result of careful renovation aimed to keep intact the external masonry of the farmhouse, as a memory of the existing structure. For this reason, internally, it has been created a new wall structure that serves as a support for the floors and the roof.
The house is on two levels, in the upper floor we find the sleeping area, equipped with three bedrooms with bathroom inside; while downstairs, there is a large living room with fireplace, the kitchen built completely in masonry with hand painted tiles, a further bedroom, currently used as a study, the laundry room and a bathroom. The house is well finished in every detail. The use of quality materials, as the floors made of hand-worked terracotta, or bathrooms covered with Vietri ceramic, make this property very valuable. Even the fixtures are of excellent quality. The attic is made of chestnut with exposed beams.
The external porch on which overlook the kitchen and the living room, is large enough to allow pleasant summer dinners outdoors, thanks to its remarkable panoramic views. Also the surrounding garden is well cared for and after a few meters from the porch we find the swimming pool with surrounding paving. In the final part of the porch we find a masonry oven. An additional relaxation area has been created on the terrace of the back of the house, which directly overlooks the medieval village of Tarano.
The property is also completed by two hectares of land on which there is a roman well, a cellar and the carport.
The walkable area of the stone-house is 162 m². For more details, see the attached area calculation below.
